“Gender in Education”

January 5, 2008

what a laughable course title…

My thoughts are jumbled on that. Are we saying boys are dumb? This outcry seems very strong considering for the first time basically ever girls are doing better than boys. Do we ever hear about how there aren’t enough boys in humanities? We certain hear enough about how girls aren’t in the sciences. Aren’t “upper middle class” parents hilariously obsessive about what they make their kids do? And yet these parents allowed their kids to have these problems in the first place.

In other news, I watched “Jesus Camp” today with Catalina. I’m glad she was there, because that was scary.
